Thank you for you interest in The Hamburg Strand Theater. Our Town Foundation purchased the Theater In March 2013 with the express intention of saving the Theater for future generations. The history of the Theater dates back to the early 1900’s and like all old buildings it requires significant upkeep. The most pressing improvements are converting to digital projection and sound, a new roof, refurbishing the marquee, interior remodeling, improved heating and cooling, electrical and lighting upgrades and facade improvements. These improvements total $162,500. Other expenses include mortgage payments, heat and electric. Recently we started a Go Fund Me campaign because of the need to add a second handicapped bathroom.
